    The growing data storage in Lotus Notes with around 200 folders had reached the limits of clarity. The complexity of the data management became apparent due to redundant versions of subsidiaries and the need for a targeted organization of all documents was triggered.

    The underlying knowledge model convinced Weiss, because due to long product life cycles of 20 years in some cases, there were special requirements for the system. In particular, the fact that all functions were available as standard and that knowledge transfer functions allow the database to grow continuously has made Empolis Industrial Knowledge one of the most important systems for Weiss' customer service.

    Almost 5,000 documents in 7 languages are used by employees from 22 countries - and the trend is rising. Internal processes are to be made more efficient thanks to situational access to information in order to further increase customer satisfaction
