BOMAG receives the Empolis Customer Solution Award 2022

The company, headquartered in Boppard, is a leader in compaction technology and a manufacturer of machines for compacting soil, asphalt and waste.
With the award, Empolis annually recognizes successful collaboration in the implementation of intelligent, digital service solutions. This year, BOMAG GmbH was honored for its BIP (BOMAG-Information-Plattform) service platform and the associated Field Service App, which provides all service employees worldwide with current information, updated daily, at any time and in the right place.
In the event of a problem, service employees use the app to scan a dynamically generated QR code with their smartphone, which is shown on the machine display. In addition to the error information, this provides further machine data, such as type and real-time data, which is then analyzed, using the underlying artificial intelligence in Empolis Service Express®. Each service employee receives the appropriate error description and step-by-step instructions, in a matter of seconds, enabling them to resolve the problem quickly and reliably. In this way, downtimes are kept to a minimum and costly delays on construction sites prevented. At the same time, the analysis of the requests helps draw conclusions about machine use.
